Cheap Mother of the Bride Dresses

If there was ever any question about where the show is going with the little flirtations between the new Short Evening Dresses scientist Tess and Carter, they get answered this week. There a really horribly executed joke involving a guest scientist with the word in his last name that fortunately doesn go as far as it could have. We seen enough of the girl being swooned by a visiting guy making the lesser man that really likes her jealous. This scenario has played out way too much on Eureka. It feels like it going to happen in this episode but as I said, luckily it doesn this time and I don mind spoiling that. There are a couple of stories this week in the episode. The first involves downloading the data that stored inside of the walking talking hard drive that looks and acts like Henry dead wife Kim. The second finds people in Eureka drowning in some really odd places.

The main story is of the typical Eureka formula, a mystery is established and Carter has to go and interview a Global specialist that is uniquely connected to the situation. The word formula isn an insult in the case of Eureka, at least in reference to this particular situation. The show can sometimes get a little bogged down by techno babble, but not very often. Carter is always there to explain everything in layman's terms. Collin Ferguson has fantastic comedic timing and he represents the every man perfectly here. He a highly underrated and under-appreciated actor. Just when you think a show like Battlestar Galactica could bring some real credibility to the network and attention to the actors on its shows, the network gets re-branded to SyFy.

Another bonus for this week episode is added focus on Fargo. He a quirky awkward character Prom Dresses Online that always adds something to the show when he gets to do stuff. The only thing Neil Graystone has to worry about is being typecast. He this character. At any rate in this episode, he gets to do some detective work and while it not slapstick funny it is humorous and fun. While Fargo gets more screen time everybody favorite deputy gets absolutely nothing to do this week and Carter daughter Zoe only gets a little bit more than that to do herself. This is a minor complaint because these characters do get episodes where they are the focus. Deputy Lupo lack of any real screen time is painfully obvious though.

This week installment features some really heavy drama, not heavy handed, just heavy. Cocktail DressesThere is the unfortunate pop ballad that goes along with the scenes that is surely available on iTunes but it all handled with respect to the story and characters. The problem is that the show really should have ended after these scenes. Instead it continues to tie up some additional story threads. The dramatic scenes would have been better served had they been the climax to the episode. After they are over, you really need a breather but instead, the show jumps right into lighter storytelling. The meaning was surely to bring the episode to a close on a more upbeat note but the direction and editing of the drama was done so well it deserved time to make full impact. With that said, this is still a top notch episode. It features drama, humor, and sci-fi goodness, it has it all! The product placement this season hasn been as clever as it was last year, but I am fine with it as long as we keep getting episodes of the series.
